"You know what, I was worried about you, but that comment just made my concerns go out the window," Scott grumbled, rolling his eyes as he stood up and walked over to Neely. "And you, sir, don't drag me into your 'who started it' fight. Plus, it's probably not a good idea to go up to the brother of who you're dating and go, 'Hey, guess what! I've been doing it with your sister while I wasn't here!' Yeah, great. Nice one. But, yes, we all missed you."

"Thanks." He smiled at her.
"I'm sorry for just dropping in. It is ok if she comes over tonight right?"
He turned to Scott. "He asked me, I answered, is that a crime?"

"Scott, stop acting like an angry mother lecturing their child and go help Tara find the First-Aid kit or something," Valerie sighed. "And Neely, do you really think it'd be a good idea to let that girl come over? It's fine with me, but it might not be okay with certain people here. On another note, what about your mother, Ethan?"

He grimaced. "You think it was ok with me sitting around at night trying not to hear all you guys?" He rolled his eyes.
"I really ike her." He begged.

"Eh?" Ethan looked up, wincing slightly, "Oh yeah. Mom's dead." he said casually, in the tone someone might say that the laundry's done.

Tara stood on her tiptoes, seeing the small box just above her head, just past her outstretched arms, "Here, Scott, climb on my back and get the box."

"Climb... on your back? ... Yeah, sure, why not?" Scott shrugged, then ran and hopped up on the other's back. He swiped the box from the cabinet before slipping off. "Here you go!" He grinned, holding out the medicine to Tara.

"You seem apathetic about it," Valerie observed, raising an eyebrow at his tone... and Scott's unnecessary action of jumping on her girlfriend's back. "Though why should be I surprised? Nobody here is normal. And Neely, whether or not the chick can stay is up to your future brother-in-law."

"Don't call me that." Ethan snapped, "And sure, she can stay, but," his eyes suddenly narrowed and darkened as he glared at Neely, "If I hear anything coming from your room that I don't like, I will personally barge in there and stop it."

"Oh, thanks Scott," Tara grinned, ruffling the singer's hair affectionately--it seemed that the past night's activities had lifted her mood. "Here, Ethan," she said, holding out a pill. "I wouldn't want you to be in too much pain in a time like this."

Neeley turned to Ethan. "Thank you! I swear I would never hurt her, I promise." He made this vow to his friend sincerely and rn into his room to call Ethan's sister.

"Hurt isn't what I meant, but okay," Ethan muttered, taking the pill and swallowing it without water.

"So your sister's coming to stay with us, huh?" Scott asked, crouching down beside Ethan. "It's been... a while since I last her. How's she doing?"

Ethan thought for a moment, then answered, "Okay, I guess. She hates you, though."

Neeley flipped open his cellphone and dialed the number.
"Amy? Hey, they said you could come over! ok, ok I will, love you too, bye." He said, flipping his phone closed again.
"Ethan, Amy says she can't wait to see you again." he came back out and sat down next to his bandmates.

Scott blinked, furrowing his eyebrows. "Why the hell would she hate me? I was nice to her!"

"Well, she blames you for everything. She think's that I became "emo" and "depressed" and "suicidal" and "mentally unstable" because of what happened in high school." he shrugged, "Not my fault."

"Meh, don't worry about it, Now that you two are back together I think she'll be nice enough." He guessed.

"It's not my fault, either! And you were an emo badass before I met you, anyway!" Scott defended himself, very hurt. "Why does your entire family hate me while my mom still wants me to come home with you?!"

"My family is made up of many negative people in a tiny apartment. Do the math," Ethan shrugged.

"They were nice to me whenever I went over your house! They weren't really all that negative. If anything, my house was depressing and stuffy like that," Scott argued, shrugging.

"Well, it kinda grows in that kind of environment. And besides, they knew the whole story, and they thought that you were some kind of jerkass who didn't listen to me," Ethan muttered, "Hey, Scott, can you help me back to the room? I need to lie down a bit."

Neeley raised an eyebrow.
"You know what, I don't want to know!" he said, going into his room to unpack his things.

"... Yeah, I guess so," Scott exhaled loudly, shaking his head as his mood worsened. He offered his hand to the other. "Can you stand by yourself, or do you need my help?"

Ethan reached up and grabbed Scott's hand, "I dunno, help me up and we'll see. I just kinda need to sleep for a while," he pulled himself up, bracing himself by putting one hand on the wall, "Jesus, I think I'm gonna have to stop beating you up now that I know how it feels."
