"Shut up!!" Tara yelled, biting into a Snickers bar, "Now fucking play before I lock you and Ethan in a closet!!" She paused for a moment, then turned to Valerie and said, "Well, I may just do that anyway."

"Hey, why do you get a Snickers?!" Scott demanded. "Fine, I'll freaking sing, but I want a Snickers after this! Come on, Ethan... Get a microphone and let's practice, okay?"

"I have a Snickers because I don't have fans, so I have no appearances to keep up," Tara told him, "Now sing."

Ethan grabbed his mic, twirling it between his fingers then turning to face Scott. "Ready when you are," he shrugged.

Scott turned around to face his guitarist and Ethan's drummer. "All right, you guys know the drill..." he said, giving them an affirmative nod. He heard the music begin to play, and sang the lyrics smoothly, letting his voice float into the atmosphere. He watched Ethan slyly out of the corner of his eye.

Ethan jumped in at the appropriate place, his rough singing and voice such a contrast to Scott's sweeter, smoother tone. But they went together well, a type of "opposites-attract" kind of thing that Ethan knew that he'd never get tired of. He stomach squirmed a bit when he realized that this was his first ever time singing with Scott.

As soon as the song was over, Scott looked at Ethan, out of breath. "Okay," he coughed, placing a hand over his mouth. "That was pretty damn good for the first time we sang together, don't you think?"

"Good? That was fucking amazing!!" Ethan laughed, clapping him hard on the back as he reached for his water bottle. Remembering that he was wearing Scott's clothes, he restrained himself from pouring the water bottle over his head, and instead just took a sip.

"Of course it was amazing, you were singing with me, Scott Copeland!" Scott teased, putting a hand on his hip. "... But honestly, that was totally awesome. Right, Tara? Or are you too stunned to answer?" He smirked.

"Stop getting so cocky and get back to work," Tara instead told him, writing something on her clipboard with a look a disinterest.

"God, you always manage to rain on my parade," Scott grumbled, looking downcast. "Don't be such a Debbie Downer and admit you were blinded my sexiness and coolness while I was singing."

"It's my job," Tara shrugged, biting into her Snickers, "And I'm fucking good at it, you have to admit. And no, for some reason little blond kids that are five years younger than me aren't very attractive to me."

"Oh, you're so rude. I think I'm pretty fucking hot," Scott scoffed, striking a dramatic pose. "If only I were just a little taller..."

"Get off your high horse and sing the next song," Tara drawled, rummaging through her purse in search of more candy. She pulled out a mini bag of Skittles and dangled it in the air.

"Do I get to have those if I sing?!" Scott asked loudly, eyes widening as he noticed the bag of candy. "... I love green Skittles, Tara!! You better not eat them!!"

Tara shrugged, tossing the candy back into her back, "Let's see how you do." She smirked, having found Scott's weakness. "Oh, and I'm thinking of making warm buttered rolls as a special group bonding dinner tonight."

"YES!" Scott screamed. "I love those things! Come on, Ethan! Stop drinking your water bottle and sing before I hurt you! I want those Skittles! Don't suck, because you'll ruin it and I'll never get them!"

Tara rolled her eyes, reminding herself to severely reduce Scott's caffeine and sugar intake after this incident.

Ethan half considered telling Scott just where he could put the Skittles, but decided against it for his own good. So he instead screwed the cap back on the water bottle and replaced it with his microphone,turning to Scott and saying, "Ready when you are."

"Awesome!" Scott grabbed his microphone again, and began singing at the appropriate places as Kai and Parker played the music.

Ethan joined in, trying to think of ways to convince Tara to end the practice early. Begging? Maybe, but probably not. Bribery? Nah, she'd just call him out on it. Blackmail? But he had nothing to use against her...

He pushed the thoughts from his mind, throwing himself yet again into the song.

Scott stopped singing halfway through the song, covering his mouth with elbow as he coughed. Shit, he thought to himself. "T-Tara!" he gasped. "Could I have m-my inhaler?!"

"Oh, for the fucking love of--!" Tara yelled loudly, digging through her bag until she found the inhaler. She rolled her eyes as she handed it to Scott.

Ethan instantly dropped his microphone, going over to Scott and trying to find a why to help. Finding none, he just knelt beside him and worried like crazy.

Scott grabbed the medical inhaler, and used it as if his life depended on it (which, actually, it did). Sighing, he gave it back Tara. "God, sorry. I forgot to use it after the last song," Scott apologized. He looked down at Ethan, and smiled. "Don't worry--I'm fine. I just have to use it after every song. My bad. It's not like I'm dying or anything."

Ethan acted as if he wasn't mentally preparing for Scott's funeral, standing up. He offered Scott his hand to help to help him up, and said, "Sorry I freaked. I just haven't really seen an asthma attack before. You never really did any strenuous stuff during high school." he gave him a smile and shrugged bending down to pick up his mic.

"Well, my asthma only got really bad until after high school," Scott explained. "Something about stress or some weird stuff like that. But it's still well-controlled, not really terrible, like some people." He shrugged. "I should be okay."

"That's good," Ethan shrugged, ruffling Scott's hair playfully. He then turned to Tara, "Do we have to keep going? I'm sure Scott wants to rest, too." he jabbed Scott in the ribs meaningfully.
