"Scott!" Kai shouted to his cousin/best friend, running over to the boy who was at his locker. "Hey, that really... odd kid's looking at you again." He subtly jerked his head back, gesturing to said 'odd kid'.

Ethan leaned against the lockers on the other side of the hall, holding a book to his face to hide his face as he glanced over the top. When someone--names, names, not important--gestured toward him, he turned and opened the nearest locker. It wasn't his, but did it matter? It had a mirror tacked up, and he briefly checked himself over--deep black hair, dark blue eyes, traced with eyeliner (Although his sister said he looked like the guy from Green Day, he didn't believe her and insisted that it made his eyes "pop"), and a thick leather jacket. slamming the locker shut, he made his way down the hall nonchalantly.

Neeley walked up next to Ethan.
"What, do you have a crush on that guy or something?" He asked, opening his locker, He pulled out his science books.
"Better get ready for class, I heard there's gonna be a pop quiz in Biology today." He said, nudging his neighbor.

"That guy?!" Scott hissed, suddenly scared for his life. "That's guy's been eyeballing me for awhile! It's starting to get kind of creepy. It looks like he honestly wants me dead. Besides, him and his friends freak me out. He's..." He shuddered, shoving the last of his books in his backpack and closing his locker. "Weird."

"That guy's such a girl, I bet your sister could beat him up, and that kind of says something. he's weird."Neeley said. doing a once over of the guys and looking away, rolling his eyes a little.

"You're weird too, Mister Antisocial, so don't go harping on him about how off-key his is," Kai said, shaking his head. "I think you talk to him. Make a friend. I mean, you only have a couple. Me, your mom, your cats, and then your very hot, and, unfortunately, very lesbian neighbor." He shrugged. "You sit in front of him in biology, don't you? So try and start and conversation with him."

Ethan rolled his eyes, fingering the packet of cigarettes in his pocket curiously, "Neels, first of all, you know that my sister's tougher than most football players. Second, I don't have a crush on that guy. I can't explain it, ok? And third," he looked at Neely with a cocky grin, "I don't need to study. I'm just naturally intelligent."

"No," Scott deadpanned, following Kai as they headed to their next class. "I'm not talking to him, unless he talks to me first. I'm not going to start a conversation with somebody I don't know. Besides, if I talked to him, he'd probably stare at me. Again."

"Oh, So that's why your flunking Math and French, huh smart guy?" He rolled his eyes.
"Your mom's gonna be pissed if you get held back this year." He said, thinking of what his dad would do. HE winced and moved on. "And even if amy's tough, he's still a wimp."

"See, you're lacking in the friend department because you refuse to talk to people, and instead you like to hole yourself up in your room, playing some sad song on some sad instrument," Kai stated, rolling his eyes. "And maybe he stares at you because he finds you... fascinating?"

"No one needs either of those subjects, anyway. With my looks, I can marry someone rich and do nothing my whole life," he sighed, folding his hands on the top of his head as he walked down the hall, "C'mon, let's just go. Biology's boring, anyway, not the kind I like." he gave a smirk, cracking his knuckles with a yawn.

"You're a queer." Neeley sighed, heading for the classroom, brushing past Kai and slipping into the science lab.

"Fascinating? You make me sound like a research topic," Scott scoffed, choosing to ignore the comment about what he chose to do in his spare time. "Now let's just go to science and get through the stupid class." The blonde grabbed his cousin and dragged him into the classroom, pointedly ignoring the black-haired person as he passed him. He shoved Kai into his seat, and then plopped down at his own.

"Your mom's a queer," Ethan muttered as retaliation, sitting in his own seat. He rested his head in his hand, looking at Scott interestedly from under lidded eyes. He drew random swirls on his notebook as he waited for class to start, ignoring the annoying girl beside him that was trying to strike up a conversation.

Neeley at next to Scott, he dropped his books next to his seat loudly.
"Pop Quiz!" The teacher declared, several groans came from the back of the class.

Scott also groaned at the mention of a 'Pop Quiz'. Science was not his best subject. He rifled around in his backpack for his pencil case, but after having no luck of finding it, he was stuck with having to borrow one. Well, it would probably be a way to start a conversation with the person who was basically drilling holes into the back of his head with that stare. "Uh..." Scott began, turning around in his seat. "Do you have an extra pen with you? One I could borrow?"

Ethan shrugged, handing Scott the pen that he'd been spinning nimbly between his long fingers. He then turned to the girl beside him and, with his best attempt at a kind smile, asked for a pen. Once he had one, he was intent on continuing the conversation, but the teacher gave him a glare, so he just whispered to Scott, "Talk to me after class, got it?"

"... Yeah, okay," Scott said back, nodding and taking the pen. He turned back around in his seat so as not to get into trouble with the teacher.

AFTER CLASS

Ethan gathered up his things and leaned against the doorframe as he waite for Scott. He ran his fingers through his black hair, catching Neely's eyes with a "go on without me" look.

Scott packed up his things to leave class, and ushered Kai ahead of him. "I'm going to talk to him," he mumbled as an explanation as he pushed his friend away. Scott fidgeted slightly as he met up with Ethan by the door. "Um... hi. Well, thanks for lending me a pen."

"Yes! Lunch time!" Neely grabbed his books and left the classroom. He threw the books in his locker and headed for the cafeteria.
"Damn, I have guitar practice after school today." The teen shrugged, brushing some of his curly hair out of his face.
"Oh well, it's pizza day."
