Neely knocked on his neighbors door again,
"Val! I know you're home, open up!" He shouted, banging on the door harder.

"Scott, I was just greeting him. It's so nice to meet you, Ethan!" Bianca smiled brightly. "I'm glad Scott's making some more friends. Oh, and as for you, young man, I found your Hanon book on the piano again this morning. How many times have I told you that when you're finished with it, you need to put it back in the piano bench or else one of the cats will get to it? You've had that book since you were five, and I'd hate to see you get sad when it gets ruined because you were careless with it."



"What do you want, Neely?" Valerie asked, opening her front door.

"Sorry, Ma, I'll be sure to be more careful next time," Scott apologized. "Even though I hate that book."

"Honey, you do not hate it. We do not hate anything in this household," Bianca corrected him, swatting Scott on the shoulder. "I don't have to go to work until seven, so I was just about to go to the grocery store and get something to make for dinner. Your friend can stay for dinner, if he wants to!"

"No, he doesn't want to, since I'm sure he has something better to do than eat dinner with us, Mom," Scott grumbled. "Don't you, Ethan?"

"Can I hang out until my dad goes to the bar?" He asked. His father always left the house at five o'lock to go to the bar and get drunk by himself.

Ethan considered this for a moment. On one hand, Scott's mom was more than a little crazy. On the other hand, Italian food. Finally, he nodded, "Actually, I'd love to stay for dinner. There's nothing better than cooking by a beautiful Italian woman."

"Oh, you're just such a little sweetheart, aren't you?" Scott's mom giggled, shaking her head. "I bet the girls love you! No wonder my son decided to snatch you up before anyone else could! And you even know Italian food is the best, that shows real wisdom! You're a keeper! I'll make spaghetti, just for you!"

((Chris's mom =_= I told her that Italian food is my favorite type and food, and she said I was one of the smartest girls she's ever met XD And then she gave me many cookies o.o))

((Colonel's mom made us cookies! They lasted our family of six like, a week and a half. XD))

((Italian ladies just love to give away food, don't they? XD Dad ate all of my cookies =_= I asked where they went, and he said, "I sent them to Santa." I was very mad XD Those cookies were good, too, and he ate THEM ALL. WTF.))

"What? Ma, no." Scott shook his head and waved his hands to indicate 'no'. "I didn't 'snatch him up'. We're just friends, okay, and don't try and bribe him to like me as more than that with spaghetti."

((Yes, Italian people love to make food and give it to other people, it's a proven fact XD And they seriously only lasted like, a week and a half? There were, like, PLENTY of cookies on that plate XD And niiiiice, Havoc.))

"Bribe me? Scott Copeland, I am an honorable man. I am here for you and your lovely mother. Her surely delicious cooking is just a great bonus." Ethan said, placing a hand over his heart dramatically.

((Dude, the six of us. Including my dad and Helen, who are like, addicted to cookies. That's a long time in our house. Oreos last three days in these parts.))

"Oh, you're too sweet, Ethan! See, Scott, he already likes you because of your wonderful personality and charming looks!" Bianca laughed, ruffling Scott's hair. "Good looks and the amazing ability to cook run in the family, Ethan, and you are also very lucky to have found my son! And si, si. I get it. You're just friends. You can trust Mama, honey, I won't tell a single soul about you two until you give me the okay!"

((I feel kind of bad now, Fullmetal, that's how long cookies last in my house XD Well, then again, it's three guys =_= They eat everything.))

((Yeah, you've got a teenage boy. That's plenty of food eaten already. XD We're mostly girls, so it lasts a bit longer. XD))

"That's very kind of you, Bianca," Ethan said, looking up at her innocently, "If I may say, I think that you raised Scott very well."

"How kind," Bianca said. "But I'm not sure I can agree, since all he ever wants to do is something related to music. He's always at that piano, I swear. It's either that, or he's trying to write music, or he's listening to Billy Idol. The end. And he's so loud, always shouting on the phone or talking very loudly. You are a saint, honey."

"Well, I'm glad at least you see all that in a positive light," Scott muttered, elbowing Ethan in the side. "And Mom, I don't yell on the phone! I just talk so that you can hear me!"

"You're yelling now, honey," Scott's mom said sweetly, patting her son's head. "I see all of your qualities in a positive light, sweetie, I'm your mother. I'm just happy that someone else does, too!"
